Migration Outing at North Park Village Nature Center

  • North Park Village Nature Center (map)

Fall migration is upon us, and so are these wonderful outings at the North Park Village Nature Center! Join us as we travel through this beautiful preserve in hopes of spotting some of our migrating friends. These outings are welcoming and inclusive to all. Beginners are particularly welcome.

The nature preserve is 46 acres of gorgeous trails that wind through woodland, wetland, prairie, and savanna. The route is about a mile long and takes about two hours. Come see why migrating birds love to visit this paradise in both the spring and the fall!

PLEASE NOTE PARKING SITUATION FOR 10/14 OUTING:
The first day of North Park Village’s Fall Festival coincides with this walk. To help ensure our vendors and staff have a smooth Fall Festival set-up, we kindly request that you park in a satellite parking lot for the Early Bird Walk on Saturday, October 14th.

The following alternative parking options are available: (please also see map below)

  1. Parking Lot across from the Gymnastics Center

  2. Peterson Park

  3. Park on Central Park Ave and walk through Peterson Park to get to the Nature Center

Thank you for your cooperation, and be sure to stop by the Fall Fetival after the walk!
