The Chicago Audubon Society's Dr. William S. Beecher Birdathon Cup Challenge was held May 20 and 21. There were 158 species seen by all teams in total, with 130 species seen in Chicago. As always, every team had species that no other team had:

 

Resplendant Pretzelquatls: Gray-cheeked Thrush and Hermit Thrush

 

Previous Presidents Posse: Trumpeter Swan, Sandhill Crane, American Woodcock, and Blue-headed Vireo

 

Blue-collar Birders: Ring-necked Duck, Northern Harrier, Common Moorhen, Black-bellied Plover, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Willow Flycatcher, Horned Lark, American Pipit, Blackpoll Warbler, and Northern Waterthrush

 

Steel Belted Kingfishers-May 20

Team Members: Mark Agnor, Caitlin Lill, Joe Lill, Ira Sanders, Jeff Sanders, Jeff Sundberg

Total: 136 Specise

 

Blue-collar Birders-May 20

Team Members: John Duran, Randy Shonkwiler
