Garden in a City - America’s only urban garden show
Garden in a City, which debuts in Chicago’s Grant Park May 13-21, is America’s only garden and landscape design show focusing on urban horticulture and community greening. Staged in-ground inside a tent larger than two football fields, Garden in a City will feature more than 40 display gardens, designed by the Midwest’s leading landscape designers, architects and contractors. The show will demonstrate how to design and grow gardens in urban settings such as backyards, townhouse balconies, rooftops decks, fenced yards, vertical gardens and container clusters. Garden in a City promises to provide a unique and engaging visitor experience, whether you want to take home practical ideas for your garden, shop for plants and gardening accessories, enjoy cooking demonstrations – or just walk among the fantastic gardens. The show is organized by the City of Chicago, the Chicago Park District and the Parkways Foundation. Target, the presenting sponsor, will unveil its new Smith & Hawken line at an on-site boutique.
