8th International Effects of Oil on Wildlife Conference, August 3-5, 2005 in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada.

The Effects of Oil on Wildlife Conference is an international conference designed to promote the discussion of issues relating to wildlife affected by oil pollution.  The topics covered will include prevention, planning for response to both chronic and catastrophic pollution, and progress in research on rehabilitation of oiled wildlife.

Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research, Inc. is a non-profit organization, which has been professionally responding to wildlife affected by oil spills since 1976 and held the first EOW in 1982. This important conference is to be held in the diverse and beautiful city of St. John's, close to some of North America's most valuable seabird colonies and, at the focus of one of the world's worst chronic oil pollution problems.
