The FPCC and CBA are again organizing a bird blitz of the Kings Grove/Sauk Trail/ Schubert’s Woods complex near Steger.  Last year we scoured the preserves during breeding season - this year we’ll catalogue spring migration. The data will inform a restoration project there. This is a great opportunity to help save birds and improve habitat.

This year we will be partnering with the Indiana Dunes Birding Festival on the Blitz. You can register on this page whether or not you are attending the Festival.

Participants will each take a section (working in pairs or small groups), note all the birds seen and heard, and map locations of birds of concern.

We will bird in the morning and then get together around 10:15 for brunch (FPCC will treat). After you register you will be assigned a section and a partner (if you want one).
